Knit from beautiful Catskill Merino yarn obtained at our local farmers' market, this extra-long scarf is soft, warm, and light. These scarves measure over 6 feet in length and are made from 100% merino wool that is dyed using earth-friendly colors. As insisted upon by my spouse, they can be wrapped around twice and then tied.
The black scarf is knit using black bulky yarn. It is so very soft and fluffy and, like all Catskill Merino yarns, a pleasure to knit with.
The gray scarf is heather gray Catskill Merino yarn and has flecks of darker gray throughout.
The purple scarf is made with the Seurat Purple heather yarn. It is hand-dyed at the farm in small, limited-edition dye lots.
The brown scarf was knit using Seurat Umber - it's so soft and beautiful and the color looks like delicious chocolate.
The blue-green scarf is a Natural Color-Stand Only yarn in a variation of Robin's Egg #1. Please note that natural dye is prone to crocking. I rinsed it until the water ran clear as instructed by Catskill Merino and the colors remained true. Catskill Merino indicates these colors should not stain the wearer and are "earth-friendly, non-toxic, and safe."
The dark green is a Limited Edition single ply yarn that is dyed in small batches using natural dyes. Natural dye is prone to crocking. I rinsed it until the water ran clear as instructed by Catskill Merino and the colors remained true. Catskill Merino indicates these colors should not stain the wearer and are "earth-friendly, non-toxic, and safe."
